Colleen Matthews-Frey of Rebel Stitcher Designs Presents: ORT Catcher - Sealed Paper Bowl Learn how to make unique ORT catching paper bowls. Super fun way to upcycle paper - magazines, comic books, sheet music, and wrapping paper can all be used to make this unique paper craft. Colleen will bring a variety of paper options to choose from. All supplies will be provided. Each participant will make one paper bowl perfect for holding your orts, keys or any other small items you'd like to keep contained! Location will be provided at show check-in. Maria Kutzner of Wildflower Stitching Presents: Joy ~ Flat-Fold Finishing Turn your "Joy" ornament stitching into a flat-fold piece that stands on its own. In this class Maria will cover the full finishing process: mounting to matte board with batting, mitering the corners, hand lacing, hand-sewing, cording, and attaching everything with either glue or thread. No finishing experience needed — you'll walk through each step together. Your class fee includes all stitching and finishing materials — matte board, batting, embroidery thread for cording, fabric, glue, and thread. Stitching kit includes a generous cut of 28 count linen which allows you the choice of stitching the design over 1 or over 2. There will be finishing supplies available for either option. Pattern and stitching kit will be mailed upon request if you'd like to do the pre-stitching. Pre-stitching is NOT required but it is a quick stitch if you'd like to do so! Space is limited for this class. Sylvia Stecker of Running With Needles & Scissors Presents: Wool Pumpkin Pincushion (With Bonus Complete Stitching Kit!) If you love pumpkins, this class is for you! You will make a wool pumpkin pincushion in class, including a small pumpkin pin. You will receive all supplies needed to make the pumpkin. As an added bonus, you will also receive a complete kit for the cross stitch piece that goes along with it called The Houses On Pumpkin Ridge! This is a full kit that includes pattern, 36 count linen and vintaged DMC thread! This makes such a cute vignette that you will enjoy pulling out year after year. Dawn Friske of The Mindful Needle Presents: Halloween Stitching Tray
Come learn how to finish this fun Halloween stitching tray and pumpkin pincushion! You’ll cover tray finishing instructions, along with tips and tricks to make your finishing easier. You’ll also complete the sweet little pumpkin pincushion in class - perfect for keeping track of your needles. Wildflower Stitching Presents: Spooky Drum Finishing Class
Turn your "Spooky" stitching into a little drum box you'll want to display all season long. You'll build the purple drum, top it with a spiderweb pincushion lid, and finish it off with pom-pom trim and a satin ribbon bow. Maria will cover trim placement, handmade buttonholes for the satin lace trim, attaching wool to the finished stitching, and round lacing for the top. Your class fee includes the pattern and all stitching and finishing supplies including box, paint, fabric, and trims. Stitching kit includes your choice of fabric - 18 Count Aida or 36 Count Linen. Pattern and stitching kit will be mailed upon request if you'd like to do the pre-stitching. Pre-stitching is NOT required but it is a quick stitch if you'd like to do so! Make It! Take It! ~ Antique Salt Dip Pincushion Bobbie will bring her massive salt dip collection as well as an assortment of fabrics and threads so each participant can make their own one of a kind pincushion! These are so fun and easy to create and they make great gifts! Absolutely everything needed will be provided! You are welcome to participate more than once if you'd like to make multiple pincushions. Location will be provided at show check-in. When: Saturday & Sunday ~ Drop in anytime during shopping hours! Create a unique beaded scissor fob, floss bauble, project bag zipper adornment, bracelet or whatever your heart desires! Bobbie will bring a large selection of beads (made of glass, crystal, stone, semi-precious stones, and metal), charms, and adornments and will help each participant create their own bling! Your imagination is the only limit! You are welcome to participate more than once if you'd like to make multiple beaded beauties. Location will be provided at show check-in. | Designer's Showcase ~ Sometimes known as a Round Robin
We will gather together after the shopping has ended on Saturday for an intimate designer's showcase. Participants will enjoy a short presentation from each of the 6 designers participating in the showcase. You will receive 5 exclusives kits and one chartpack. Kits are from Rosewood Manor, The Mindful Needle, Running With Scissors & Needles, Wildflower Stitching and Stitching Bits and Bobs and the exclusive chartpack is from Rebel Stitcher. Total value of these items is well over $125! Location will be provided at show check-in.
